Zoom: where is customer data stored and processed?
Zoom stores customer content in the USA by default, and customers outside the EU/EEA can choose storage location only on paid accounts; European paid customers can choose EU data centres for storage. Meeting and webinar traffic is run on AWS in several countries, including the USA, Australia, Brazil, Canada, India, Japan, Singapore and Taiwan, and customers can choose a data centre region for hosting. Support is handled by TaskUS in the Philippines and Croatia and by Rippit for quality assurance in Ireland and the USA, and ServiceNow in Germany handles support tickets. Notifications are sent via Twilio in the USA and the EU, and AI features send content to Anthropic in the USA and OpenAI in the EU when enabled.
