Zendesk: where is customer data stored and processed?
Zendesk stores and runs its services mainly on AWS in several countries, including Ireland, Germany, the United Kingdom, Japan, Australia and the USA, and customers outside the EU/EEA can be placed in the USA or other regions. Customers choose region, but without the Data Center Location add-on Zendesk gives no commitment to where data is stored. Zendesk QA runs on Google Cloud in Germany, and AI agents run on Google Cloud in Belgium. Logging runs through Datadog in the USA and Germany, and analytics and metadata through Snowflake in the USA and Germany, plus Aiven in Belgium. Notification emails go through SendGrid in the USA. Support ticket infrastructure runs on Confluent in the USA for customers outside the EU/EEA. Identity, support and backup location is not stated.
