Slack: where is customer data stored and processed?
Slack stores customer data in Germany and France when the customer chooses the EU region, with France also serving as backup for the German region and Germany for the French region. Processing is documented for Germany and France, and outside the EU/EEA customers can choose regions including the USA, UK, Australia, Canada, India, Japan and South Korea, though those are not confirmed. Huddle and Clip transcription runs through Amazon Transcribe in several countries, including the USA, Australia, Canada, Germany, France, India, Japan, South Korea and the UK. Support runs through Zendesk in the USA and email notifications through Google Cloud in the USA. The data processing agreement is behind a sign-in and was not read, so its statement on storage location is unknown.
