Pendo: where is customer data stored and processed?
Pendo stores customer data in Google Cloud regions chosen by the customer: US multi-region by default, and EU multi-region, Japan (Tokyo and Osaka) and Australia (Sydney and Melbourne) where selected. The customer can choose region, and regions outside the EU/EEA can be turned off. The data processing agreement is read but does not state where data is stored, so the storage location is taken from other sources. Email routing runs on AWS, logging and search on Elastic, and optional AI features on OpenAI, Azure OpenAI or Anthropic depending on region. Support services are provided by Core10 in the USA, and the location of the sign-in service is not stated. The retention period for logs and backup location are not stated.
