Freshworks Freshservice: where is customer data stored and processed?
Freshservice customer data is mainly stored and run on AWS in an EU region, and backup is assumed to be in the same region. Customers can choose region, but the supplier also has regions outside the EU/EEA that can be opted out of. Support is provided by group companies in several countries, including the United Kingdom (documented), and India, Australia, Germany, France, Singapore, the Netherlands and Ireland (not confirmed). Customer data may be processed in the USA by sub-processors such as SendGrid (email backup), Rchilli (CV parsing in Freshteam, only for customers outside the EU/EEA) and Inline Manual, while AI features via Microsoft Azure OpenAI have unconfirmed location. The data processing agreement has been read, but does not state where data is stored.
