Sophos Email lagrer og kjører kundeinnhold i flere land, hovedsakelig via AWS i Irland, Tyskland, Storbritannia og Sveits, og via Microsoft-datasentre i Nederland, Sverige og USA. Kunden kan velge AWS-region ved oppsett, men dokumentasjonen oppgir ikke hvilke EU-regioner som gjelder for Email. Databehandleravtalen er lest, men oppgir ikke hvor data lagres. Underdatabehandlere som Google Cloud, SendSafely og Echoworx behandler data i USA og Canada for kunder utenfor EU/EØS. Det viktigste som mangler er konkret lagringssted for Email og hvilke konsernselskaper som har tilgang.
