Vercel: where is customer data stored and processed?
Vercel stores customer content in data centres at AWS, Azure and GCP, but the country is not stated, and the Data Processing Addendum (March 2026) does not say where data is stored. The customer can choose region, and Vercel also offers regions outside the EU/EEA that can be avoided. Processing for Vercel Functions has a standard operating location in the USA, which is documented for customers outside the EU/EEA. The AI products are run and operated from the USA according to the AI Product Terms. Analytics and metadata may be transferred to the USA and other places where sub-processors process data, which is not confirmed, and Vercel is DPF-certified. Backups are replicated globally at AWS, Azure and GCP, with countries not stated.
