Typeform: where is customer data stored and processed?
Typeform stores and runs its service in Germany for EU customers and in the USA (North Virginia) for customers outside the EU/EEA, so customer data location depends on the customer's region. Customers cannot choose region; hosting follows whether they are EU or US customers. Login runs through Okta (USA for US customers, Europe for EU-hosted customers). Support is spread across the UK, USA and Germany (Typeform entities), plus Zendesk (USA) and Google Workspace (Europe). Email is handled by Mailgun (Europe), SMS by Twilio (USA), and AI features by OpenAI and AWS, with OpenAI in the USA. Snowflake (USA) processes data for analytics and data warehousing.
