Sentry: where is customer data stored and processed?
Sentry stores customer data in the USA (Iowa) or Germany (Frankfurt), depending on whether the customer selects a US or EU region, and this selection is documented. Processing takes place in the USA and Germany, while cloud infrastructure from AWS, Cloudflare and Google Cloud is documented with EU location without naming a country. Backups follow the chosen region. Login and user accounts are stored in the USA regardless of region. Support data and AI services from Anthropic and OpenAI are also in the USA. Email delivery goes via Sinch (Mailgun) and Twilio (SendGrid), with US and EU locations. The data processing agreement is read but does not state where data is stored, so the storage location comes from other sources.
