Proofpoint: where is customer data stored and processed?

Proofpoint stores Email Protection customer data in Germany and the USA, hosted by AWS and Equinix, and the datacenter in Germany is chosen by the customer's geographic location. Processing is documented for customers outside the EU/EEA in the USA, Canada and Singapore through AWS, C-Square and Zenlayer; processing in Germany is only assumed. Support and development come from Northern Ireland, India and the USA, using Sutherland and Salesforce. Logging (Splunk) and analytics (Pendo) are located in the USA, with an EU option for Pendo. The data processing agreement is read and refers to SCC and DPF, but it does not state where data is stored. Backup location, identity/SSO (except Auth0 in the USA and EU), and the chatbot's AI provider and processing location are not stated.
