Planhat: where is customer data stored and processed?
Planhat is headquartered in Sweden and is a business product, with customers being companies. Customers can choose EU or USA as storage region for customer data, with backups in the same region; logs and backups are deleted 90 days after termination. Google Cloud and MongoDB run the service in the chosen region, and some support, email, analytics and optional AI functions (Google Vertex AI, OpenAI) are processed in the USA, with EU processing for some. Support data is handled by Intercom in the USA only when shared in chat. The data processing agreement has been read, but it does not state where data is stored, so the storage location comes from other sources.
