Okta Auth0: where is customer data stored and processed?
Okta and its Auth0 product store and run customer data mainly on AWS in Ireland, Germany, the USA and the Netherlands, where MongoDB databases sit in an EU cell for certain variants. The customer group is not stated, so it is unclear whether the service is mainly for private persons or businesses. Customers can choose an EU cell for Okta Workforce and Customer Identity, but the Auth0 operating region for customer data and logs is not stated. Login uses Twilio (USA) for SMS codes and TeleSign (USA, Netherlands) for SMS authentication. Support runs through Salesforce (USA) and a 24x7 team in Romania that may see data in AWS and Salesforce.
