Mixpanel: where is customer data stored and processed?
Mixpanel stores customer data in Google Cloud Platform in the USA (Iowa), the Netherlands (Eemshaven) or India (Mumbai), depending on the customer's region variant, and the EU data residency variant may also use Finland, Belgium or Germany. Customers can choose region, and regions outside EU/EEA can be deselected. Backup and supplementary storage run on AWS in the USA. Support is handled by Zendesk and Pylon in the USA, and by Mixpanel International in the United Kingdom, Spain, Singapore, India and Israel. Error tracking runs through Atlassian in the USA, CRM through HubSpot in the USA, and AI features through Anthropic and OpenAI in the USA and Turbopuffer in Europe or India. The data processing agreement has been read, but it does not state where data is stored.
