Microsoft Entra ID: where is customer data stored and processed?

Microsoft Entra ID is a business product from a US company, and the source does not state a customer group, so this is not a consumer service. Customer catalogue data is stored in Europe for many tenants, but the source does not name the country, and tenants with a non-European billing address may have data stored in the USA or Australia, which the source marks as unconfirmed. Customers can choose a location from a predefined list. Certificates for managed identities are documented as stored in Cosmos DB in China North 2, and failover to another region cannot be placed. Multifactor authentication processes data globally, with logs kept for 30 days. Backup, support and notification locations are not stated.
