DigitalOcean: where is customer data stored and processed?
DigitalOcean stores customer content in data centres in Germany (Frankfurt) and the Netherlands (Amsterdam), and the customer chooses the region. The UK (London) is also used for storage and processing, but only for customers outside the EU/EEA, and the customer can opt out. Customer support and troubleshooting run through Traversal in the USA, and backup and infrastructure run on AWS in the USA, where the location is not confirmed.
