Atlassian Confluence: where is customer data stored and processed?
Atlassian stores and processes Confluence customer content on AWS in several countries, including Sweden, Ireland and Germany in the EEA, and also in Switzerland, the UK, Canada, Australia, Singapore, South Korea and the USA for customers outside the EU/EEA. Backup via Clumio covers EEA data without a stated country, plus the UK, Australia, USA and Singapore. Support access to attachments is documented from Brazil and Mexico, while Romania is unconfirmed. Analytics (Databricks) and AI features (OpenAI) are documented in the USA, and AWS Bedrock processes content in several EEA countries when Atlassian Intelligence or Rovo is enabled.
