Anthropic: where is customer data stored and processed?
Anthropic stores and processes customer content mainly in the USA, and the customer can choose a European region for storage and processing via AWS Bedrock and GCP Vertex. Login (WorkOS) and email/SMS (Twilio, Iterable) run through the USA, and user support is provided by Intercom (USA), Nutun (South Africa) and Boldr (Canada). Error handling at Sentry and analytics at Twilio also take place in the USA. The data processing agreement has been read but does not state where data is stored; the storage location comes from other sources or has not been found. The most important undisclosed items are the country for storage and processing in the standard service, the countries of the sub-processors Google Cloud, AWS and Azure, and where backups are stored.
